i am medium risk for having obsessive-compulsive disorder and probably have a penchant for hand sanitizer (it said that!).
Truth is, I keep bottles of the stuff in my desk on campus. I get 100s of student papers through the semester - and last semester one of my students showed up to class with two red, runny sties (one in each eye), sat at her desk and constantly rubbed her eyes, then ruffled through her binder and miscellaneous papers, and finally, collected all the pages of her essay together, put them in order, and handed them over to me. You betcha I keep sanitizer in my desk! Yuck!

Shared your bitch rap today in my class. Students thoroughly enjoyed it, though they are trying to decide if the rap presents a positve or negative (or something in betwee, nor both)portrayal of women. I shared as well with a colleague who loved it and wants to post a copy on the door of her office.

I'll let you know how the discussion goes on Wednesday -students are mulling it over.
I should mention - this class is a remedial reading class - reading level ranges from 4th to high school level (at least on standardized tests). Most of them have a hard time speaking their minds in class (but manage to do so when writing their responses to what they are reading).
But it's certainly fun.
